Apostle Ramsey had been employed by the J.I. Case Co. until he was called to serve his God and his Community. He pastored the Shiloh Church of God, here in Racine and the Rose of Sharon of Deliverance Church in Milwaukee. He was also very active in working with the young people of Racine, founding both the Communicators and the OIC. The community will be lessened by his passing.

Ramsey Jr., of Milwaukee, Elijah (Neregin) Ramsey, of Racine, Geoffrey (April) Ramsey, of Papillion, NE, Pastor Elias (Raquel) Ramsey, of Kenosha, and Sarai Ramsey, all of Racine, 8 grandchildren, Elisha, Rachel, Alexander, Aaron, Brielle, Elaija, Elecia, and Austin, brothers and sisters-in-law, Henderson (Margaret) Ramsey, of Racine, John (Shirley) Ramsey, of Warren, AR, James Ramsey, of Racine, L.C. (Dawn) Ramsey, of Oxford, MS, and Willie Lee (Frances) Ramsey,  sister, Ernestine Ramsey, all of Racine, and sister-in-law, Evelyn Ramsey, of Oxford, MS. His nieces, nephews, other relatives, church members, grateful young people of Racine and friends will also miss him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Walter and Murphy Ramsey, and 4 sisters, Moline, Mary Lou, Mary Emma, and Vivanne.

His Homegoing Service will be held in Mt. Eagle Missionary Baptist Church, 929 State St., on Monday, September, 30th, at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop C.H. McClelland, officiating. Visitation will be in Shiloh Church of God, 1714 Center St. on Sunday, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and in Greater Mt. Eagle Missionary Baptist Church, on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials be directed to Shiloh Church.

Testimonials

January 9, 2025

Michael,

First, let me start out by saying you were a God sent working with me for many years in preparations for my mom’s Homegoing Celebration December 7, 2024.  Even though this was our first time meeting in person, I felt like I already knew you.  Michael, you demonstrated  professionalism, empathy and, your warmth was surprising for me considering your role as a Funeral Director. Your attention to every detail, patient and support has made this process much easier for my family and me. I trusted you and you helped me find closure in a moment of great sadness, and for that we’re eternally grateful. I appreciate the time and energy you put into ensuring everything ran smoothly considering I reside in a different state.  Michael, my mom would have loved you and our family is forever grateful for your unwavering dedication and support during our season of grief.  May the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. (Numbers 6:25)

Valerie Tucker and the Family of Barbara Bell
