William and Naja Werner

Service Details

Episcopal Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, August 12, 2025, 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Mound Cemetery, (1147 West Boulevard Racine, Wisconsin 53405) with interment to immediately follow.  Visitation at the Chapel, one-half-hour before the Mass.

Werner, William – Born July 2, 1923 in Ressnig, Austria, died peacefully in Fridley, Minnesota on August 17, 2016 at the age of 93.
Werner, Naja (nee Roslak)  – Born February 25, 1926 in Racine, Wisconsin, died peacefully in Fridley, Minnesota on January 2, 2019 at the age of 92.

Naja was preceded in death by her brothers, Stefan and Adam; her parents, John and Lucille (nee Kitaschevitz or Kitachevitz) Roslak; her sister Olga Johnson; her husband of 62 years, William; and after her passing was joined in death by her brother, John Roslak, Jr. and her sister, Anna Stenavich.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Theresa (nee Turk) Werner. He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Reisenauer of Racine, Wisconsin.

William and Naja are both survived by their son, William, Jr. of Minneapolis; daughter, Nancy of St. Paul, Minnesota; and by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and loving friends.
