~~ Ada “Pat” Griffith, 73, was called Home by her Loving Savior on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Mrs. Griffith was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi on Sept. 9. 1941, the daughter of the late J.B. and Ada B. (nee: Montgomery) Bean.
Ada accepted Christ at an early age at the West Grove Baptist Church, in Houlka, MS. Mrs. Griffith enjoyed cooking, singing, reading, watching reality shows and wrestling. She loved the time she was able to spend with her children and her family.
Surviving are her loving children, Merdis Hudson, Cassandra (Ollie) Lewis, Terri Bean, and Cynthia (Wesley) Fisher; grandchildren, Tony Bean, Cory Baker, Tanesha Nesbitt, Sharneta Claybrook, Deonte Westmoreland, Talia Bean, Ebony Johnson, April Westmoreland, Whitney Johnson, Dennis Fisher, and Michael Bean Griffith Jr.; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Ray Griffin, Willie Griffin, Charles Griffin, Cleveland Griffin, Robert Griffin Jr., Stanley Griffin, Homer (Mae Lee) Bean, Willie Johnson, Daniel Gordon, and Grady Bean; sisters, Tina Hodges, Linda Moore, Dorothy Bean, Dorothy M. Griffin, Dorothy R. Griffin, and Vernell Williams; special longtime friends, Jennifer Jones and Margaret LaPoint; special and devoted niece, Gwen Hodges. Mrs. Griffith is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by sons, Dennis Jermaine Tenort and Michael Bean Griffith Sr.; long time loving partner, Eddie Howard Tenort; sisters, Ernestine Walker, Emma Hodges, and Wilma Griffin; brothers, Anthony Bean and Leonard Gordon Sr.
Her Homegoing Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, May 1st, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Frank James II officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
