Racine – Ada Rose Scheuerman, 88, received the promise of eternal life on Saturday, March 14, 2015, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Racine on October 12, 1926, daughter of the late Donanto and Angelina D’Acquisto.
Ada graduated from Horlick High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Edward Herman Scheuerman, on September 14, 1946, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. Edward preceded her in death on January 26, 2003.
Ada leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters, Christine (Mike) Donahue, Laurie (Gary) Mahnke, Pat (John) Coulter; four grandsons, Eddie (Kim) Miller, Mike (Liz) Mahnke, Matt Marcotte, Kevin (Candice) Coulter; great-grandchildren, Blair and Annika Miller, Taylor and Grant Mahnke, Samantha and Julian Marcotte, Adelie, Parker, and Piper Coulter; siblings, Angie Marano, Bea Welz, Josie Literski, and Joe D’Acquisto. Ada was loved by many and will be missed by all!
In addition to her parents and husband, Ada is preceded in death by brothers, Anthony and Salvator D’Acquisto; sister, Grace DAcquisto; and in laws, John and Mable Scheuerman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 19, 2015, 11:00am, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, with Rev. Terry Huebner officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30am until the time of the service. Private interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Dr. Mark Decheck and his staff; all the staff at the Becker-Shoop Center; and very special “Thank You” to Cyndie, Marie, Paula, Wendy, Linda, and Sandy.
