Obituary

Adella Bertelson, 88, passed away at The Villa at Lincoln Park on Thursday, April 19, 2018. She was born in the Town of Peru, Wisconsin on October 1, 1929, daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary (nee: Brunner) Jungwirth. One of 11 children, Adella grew up on the family farm in Dunn County. On November 10, 1949 she was married in Lima's Holy Rosary Catholic Church to George L. Bertelson. George and Adella continued to work the farm until they moved to Racine in the late 50's. She worked in two local hotel banquet halls and in the school cafeterias at Mitchell Jr. High School and Case High School.

Adella loved to spend time with family, travel, go to restaurants, and read a good book. She especially loved to spoil her grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of the Catholic church and devoted servant of the Lord.

Adella is survived by her sons Kurt (Debbie) Bertelson of Sartell, Minnesota, and Kevin Bertelson of Racine; grandsons Brett, Drew and Jay Bertelson; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband George; daughter-in-law Kathryn Bertelson and 10 siblings.
