Racine – Adriana Eysnogle, 82, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 23, 2007. She was born in Racine on December 8, 1924, daughter of the late Harry and Cornelia (nee: Huesdens) Tuinstra. She was a lifetime Racine resident, and graduated from Horlick High School. On September 21, 1945 she was married to Joe Eysnogle in San Diego, California. Adriana spent most of her career with the American Red Cross, where she was the Director of Family Services. She was always there to assist military personnel and their families during times of trouble. Many holiday meals were interrupted when a tragedy stuck, but she would willingly and dutifully leave her family to assist those that needed her then. She was an extraordinary seamstress and spent countless hours creating her works of art. Many of her creations went to the love of her life, her family. She loved to entertain, primarily her family, and made every holiday special. Her grandchildren will always remember dying eggs, searching for well hidden Easter baskets, birthday celebrations song was repeated and candles relit at least four times, to the grand opening of presents on Christmas morning, and to the late night swims on a hot summer night. She is survived by her husband of over 62 years, Joe Eysnogle; their children, Andrea (Philip) Reid of Madison, Jeffrey (Lucy) Eysnogle of Footville, and Diedra (William Arndt) Nielsen of Racine; grandchildren, Kimberly (Andrew) Dodd in California, Kristi Reid of Milwaukee, Ross and Alex Nielsen of Racine, Lindsay (Jason Pickering) Eysnogle in Maine, Laura Eysnogle in Colorado, and Lianna Eysnogle of Milwaukee; great granddaughters Treva Dodd, and Addyson Nielsen; brothers and sisters, Harry (Betty) Tuinstra of Neshkoro, Grace (Robert) Welfel in Kentucky, Cornelius (Rose) Tuinstra, and Barbara (Norm) Emick both of Racine. In keeping with her wishes, private funeral services were held in the funeral home, followed by entombment at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Hospice Alliance, Inc. have been suggested. Her family thanks her for creating very special memories. We will miss you and you will be in our hearts forever.
