Alan Knorr Malmstadt, age 60, passed away at Aurora Medical Center – Mount Pleasant, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024

Al was born in Racine to Alfred and Sandra (nee: Knorr) Malmstadt on September 22, 1964. He was a 1982 graduate of Horlick High School. Al's life was centered around his daughter, Gabrial. He was so proud of her when she joined the U.S. Army and looked forward to every visit with her. Al was excited about working on his 1986 Camaro with the purpose of giving it to Gabrial one day. The two of them would spend hours in his woodworking shop in his basement building furniture and other projects. When time allowed, Al enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping and just driving around with Carrie in their golf cart. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, even to the point of having Carrie set up a TV so he could watch their games when they went camping. He loved his dog, Lainey, and enjoyed training her.

Surviving are his daughter, Gabrial; brother, Brian Malmstadt; significant other, Carrie Smukal; aunt, Mavis Ham; cousins, other relatives and friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Sandra.

Service Details

A Memorial Service for Al will be held at Pentecost Lutheran Church, 2213 Coolidge Avenue, Racine on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 4:00PM with Pastor Brady Retzlaff officiating.
