Obituary

Alfreda Grays was born May 23, 1952 to the union of Margret and Edgar Scott in Tupelo, MS.  She received her formal education at Park High School in Racine Wisconsin.

Alfreda accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She was united in Holy Matrimony with Henry Lee Grays senior in Racine Wisconsin. Their union was blessed with four children.

Alfreda enjoyed going to bingo as she also enjoyed thrifting for herself and others.

Alfreda departed this life on January 7, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Margaret and Edgar Scott; her husband, Henry Lee Grays Sr; her siblings, Shirley and Ricky Warren, and her niece, Amber. Alfreda leaves to cherish her memory, partner and companion, Brian Hansen; her children, Anthony (Yolanda) Scott, Henry Lee (Cynthia) Grays Jr, Angela Grays, Kavin (Jeni) Grays; her grandchildren,  Jermesha (Don) McHenry, Jerquasia Tye, Deontae Grays, Anthonette Grays, Giana Grays, Nat Grays, Samantha Grays; her great grandchildren, Arquon Moss Jr, Ar'Miah Moss, Samantha Lowe; her siblings, Hattie (Jeff) Thomas, Sylvester (Mal) Scott, Roy Scott, Lee (George) Tenner, Ann Scott, and Jennifer Belcher; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday afternoon, January 17, 2022, for a visitation from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.   A service celebrating her life and Homegoing will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Johnny Ford officiating.  A private interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.

The family of the late Alfreda Grays gratefully acknowledges with sincere appreciation the many acts of kindness, each gesture of sympathy, and prayers petition on our behalf during this time of sorrow. We are most grateful to God for the gift of friends like you. Your expressions of love have given us strength and inspiration for the facing of these hours.
