Alinda M. (Heckman) Scott, age 54, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Ascension All Saints in Racine. Born in Menomonee Falls, WI to Robert and Donna Heckman on November 28, 1971.

Alinda met Aaron Scott and was united in marriage on February 21, 2014.

Alinda — "Lynn" to everyone who loved her — was the heart of her family. She had a way of making everyone feel like family — funny, kind-hearted, strong, and full of love. If you were around her, you were laughing. She shared 12 loving years with her husband, Aaron, the love of her life, and together they built a home filled with love and laughter.

For 20 years, she was a bartender at Winner's Circle, where she knew everyone and made them all feel welcome. She also worked as a taxi cab driver. When she wasn't working, she loved to read and spend time on her diamond paintings. Bingo night was one of her favorite places to be — surrounded by friends, laughing, and having the time of her life. She loved hunting for treasures at Goodwill, and she loved animals. Above all, family meant everything to her. She adored her grandbabies, Aiden and Ava, and her daughter was the center of her world.

She was an organ and tissue donor, and through her selfless donation she was able to help countless lives — one last gift from a woman whose heart was made for giving.

She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Aaron Scott; her daughter, Mercedes Champeau; her grandchildren, Aiden and Ava; her siblings, Lisa, Lawrence, Brenda Heckman, and Gene Elgersma; and her niece, Angela Bykowski.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Heckman; her grandmother, Lorraine Schadrie; and several close friends.

Per her wishes, private services were held.
