Mt. Pleasant – Aline Stevenson, 88, was surrounded by her family when she passed away at home on Sunday, December 6th, 2015. She was born on January 4th, 1927 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Clifton and Brazilian (nee: Smith) Jackson. On October 23, 1946 Aline was united in marriage to Robert L. Stevenson, who preceded her in death on February 13, 2005.
Aline was devoted to caring for her family and cherished all the time she spent with them. She enjoyed cooking, sewing,gardening, and looked forward to family gatherings and reunions. She loved to nurture and care for any child who needed support.
Aline leaves to cherish precious memories, her daughter Sandra (Eddie) Dobbins; grandson Leo W. Baker Jr., great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her sisters, Ollie Lowe of Racine, Mary Jackson and Izella Jackson both of Chicago. Also left to mourn are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Odessa (Lawrence) Bennett, Benniel (Moses) Burnette, and Juanita (Clyde) McComb; and brother, Anderson Jackson.
Homegoing services will be held in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2015 with Reverend Buddy O. Vinson officiating. interment will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m.
