Among his interests, Allen was a word search fanatic and enjoyed traveling – especially to Europe, Hawaii and Las Vegas with Frances; and visiting many other states in their RV.

Surviving are his loving wife of over 71 years, Frances; son, John Allen (Mary) Willis; grandson, Brian (Robin) Willis; sister-in-law, Jo Willis; brothers-in-law, Benny Castroreale and Gordon Gates; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Willis; brothers, Bob (Florence) Willis and Wilbur Willis; sisters, Vera (Albert) DeRango and Betty Gates; sisters-in-law, Angeline (Tony) Guzzaldo, Rose (Art) LaBrasca and Dolores Castroreale; and brother-in-law, Frank Castroreale.
