Racine – Andre Lavon Drane, age 65, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at Ascension – All Saints Hospital on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

Andre was born in Racine, WI on January 31, 1957. He attended Washington Park High School. Andre worked for several temp agencies and for Warren Industries.

Andre was a proud and faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where he volunteered for whatever needed to be taken care of around the church. He also enjoyed old school cars, smooth jazz music, Packers football and riding his beach cruiser bicycle all around town.

Surviving are his sister, Ramona Drane; nephews & nieces, Darren Hadley, Deon Drane, Marlinzo Drane, LaToya Drane and Dartavia Martin; devoted friends, Sanford McLaughlin, Benny (Pam) Lowrey, James Williams and Will Beadles, Jr., Ricky Franklin, Ricky Martin, Michael Shields, Olan Williams, Brenda Ormond-Sawyer, Deacon Donald Young, Maggie Swoops and Fernandele Cornelius; other relatives, church family & friends.

Andre was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Drane; brothers, James & Paul Drane; and nephew, Darvin Martin "D2".

A memorial celebration of Andre's life will be held at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1123 Center Street,  on Saturday, December 10th, 2022 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be in the church on Saturday from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.

Special thanks to Ascension All Saints Hospital for the compassionate care & support given to Andre over the years. Also, a heartfelt note of thanks to the entire staff at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church for being so good to Andre. May God bless all of you!
