Ann Page Gibson, 80, of Racine, and formerly of Orangeburg and Norway S. Carolina, passed away Tuesday June 28, 2016 at Ridgewood Care Center in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin.

A memorial service for Ann will be held at 1:30 pm at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home, Orangeburg, SC on Saturday, July 9, 2016 with Pastor Danny McLellan officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the start of the service.

Ann was born on March 25, 1936 in Batesburg, SC, to the late John Walker Page and the late Claudia Rousseau Page. She is an Orangeburg High graduate, and earned her teaching degree from South Carolina State College and a Masters in Special Education from Clemson University. She taught middle school in several districts in South Carolina before retiring in 2001. Ann enjoyed reading, traveling, playing cards and scrabble and cherished her time with family and friends. She particularly enjoyed her trips to Georgia and Wisconsin to celebrate holidays and family milestones.

Ann is survived by her sons, Peter Francis "Tim" (Jamie) Gibson, Jr., of Pooler, Georgia; John Walker (Julie) Gibson of Racine, Wisconsin and 5 grandchildren: Trey (Ashton) , Jonathan, and Jared Gibson all in Georgia; and Kristin and Kimberly Gibson of Wisconsin; great-granddaughter Emma Gibson of Georgia; and sister, Claudia Page (Billy) Barnes of Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Francis Gibson and her beloved dog Raleigh. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The American Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice have been suggested.
