Anne Marie Herman, 78, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at her home in Racine, Wisconsin. Anne was born in South Bend, Indiana, on March 7, 1947, to Jess and Anna (Trivanovich) Schall. She was a graduate of South Bend Central High School and Purdue University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She taught at J. I. Case High School, Gateway Technical College, and University of Wisconsin, Parkside.

Anne was a member of Christ Church United Methodist serving on various committees. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, and served on the board of Friends of the Racine Public Library for several years. Anne was a lifetime member of Alpha Delta Pi and Purdue University Alumni Association.

Anne leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Robert; daughter, Julie; son, Paul (Monica); grandchildren, Eli, Ezra, and Esme of Corona, California. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. William (Melanie) Schall of Williamston, Michigan; nephews, Nicholas (Sarah), and Peter; sister-in-law, Jane Clark; niece, Lee Ann (Robert) Williams of Spotsylvania, Virginia; dear cousins, Virginia Eaton of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Anadell Deranek of Granger, Indiana, and Wayne (Pam) Anderson of Louisville, Kentucky; along with other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Charles Clark.

A celebration of Anne's life will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, 11:30 am, at Christ Church United Methodist, 5109 Washington Avenue, with Rev. George Kafer officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
