Annie Ray "Anna Ray" Davis, age 72, went to be with our Lord and Savior at Froedtert Medical Center, in Milwaukee WI on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, with her family at her side. Annie Ray was born on July 30, 1946 to the late Lewis T. Davis and Ressia (nee: house) Davis in Alamo Tennessee. Anna Ray was the oldest of seven siblings. She grew up in Tennessee and later relocated to Wisconsin with her mother in 1968. Annie Ray accepted Jesus Christ in her life at an early age and was united with Church of Christ.
Annie Ray was blessed with six children. She enjoyed car rides, traveling to visit family and shopping but the time spent with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren brought her the most joy. She was an animated story teller and her grandchildren loved to listen to her stories. Annie Ray was The Family Guardian.
Annie Ray leaves to cherish her precious memories, her two sons, Benjamin Lee Davis and Tavares Lee Davis; her four daughters, Dorothy Elaine (James) Harper, Antoinette (Johnny) Green, Patricia Davis and Marrietta Davis; seventeen grandchildren, Sheika Sanders, Johnny Green Jr., Clorissa Hunter, Sedann Edwards, Adrian Rice, Jonathan Green, Kenneth Blackman, Alayah Davis, Chasity Rice, Raven Collins, Ta'niya Davis, Christopher Davis, Mariah Davis, Armani Davis, Jayden Atkins, Bianca Davis and Ahmya Anna James Davis; six great-grandchildren, Johnny Green III, Javian Green, Deshawn Searcy, Anthony Searcy, Chyna Gordon and Na'tori McNeal. She is also survived by three siblings, Robert S. (Marilyn) Davis, Alice Jackson and David Ferrell, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, an aunt, uncle, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Annie Ray was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis T. Davis and Ressia Davis Jones; three siblings, Charles Lewis Davis, Lawrence T. Davis and Dellia Ray Ferrell, as well as her niece, Kyra L Payne.
The Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11:00am, at Higher Dimensions COGIC, 1500 Grange Ave in Racine, WI. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00am until the time of service. Pastor Adrian D. Malone will be officiating. Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
