RACINE – Annie Mae Roscoe, 75, passed away at her residence on August 16, 2024.
Annie Mae (Bell) Roscoe was born on April 17 th , 1949, in Meridian, Mississippi to Carrie Mae Parker and Elijah Bell. As a child she attended West Lauderdale School. She relocated to Racine in the early 1970's. She was employed for 45 years at Lincoln Lutheran up into her retirement.
She was the matriarch of the family. She cherished her children, grandchildren, entire family and friends. She took pride in cooking soulful meals for everyone, especially her family. She enjoyed shopping mainly at Goodwill, loved a good rummage yard sale and taking a car ride with her children and sisters. Annie loved spending time with her family. She loved cracking jokes. Her laughter was contagious. Her presence was magnificent. She opened her arms and heart to every soul she encountered. Annie Mae Roscoe is deeply loved and severely missed.
She accepted CHRIST at an early age and was a member of Trinity United Baptist Church. Annie loved all her family and friends.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Amos Roscoe, son Robert Earl Jr, granddaughter Shemera (CHO) Ramsey. Her siblings Juanita Monroe, Willie C. Burrell, Elijah and Lieutenant Bell. Her sister-in-laws Maggie and Theresa Bell and her nephew Floyd Bell Jr.
Annie leaves to cherish her beautiful daughters Carolyn (Charles) Bell of Racine, WI ,Anita (Darrell) Bell-Hill of Indianapolis, In, Angeles (Arxcabrial) Simpson of Racine, Wi. Latasha(English) Shelby of Plainfield, Il. Annie's handsome sons Daniel and Jonquan Bell of Racine, Wi. She also leaves behind her surviving siblings Carrie Griffin of Racine, WI, Idell Clark of Meridian, Miss., and Joyce Rockette of Racine, Wi, Floyd, Henry, James and Larry Bell of Meridian, Miss. And Lewis Monroe Of Meridian, Miss.
Surviving grandchildren are Damien, Shalonda and Michael Bell of Racine, WI. Talisha, DeAngelo and Emmanuel Bell of Texas, Nicholas, Destiny and Laiiloona Bell of Racine, Wi., A'Darrius, Malayasia and A'Montrell Hill of Indianapolis, In., Cam'Airee Simpson, A'Nia and Ca'Miyah Barber of Racine, Wi, Jamilya and Jeremiah Carothers of Racine, WI.
Annie is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her best friend is Glenda Thomas.
Family and friends are invited to meet at Trinity United Missionary Baptist Church (305 5th Street) on Thursday, August 29, 2024 for a visitation from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. A service celebrating her life and Homegoing will follow at 12:00 pm with Pastor Buddy O. Vinson officiating. Her interment will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove on Friday, August 30th at 9:00 am.
To friends Annie was Annie. To us she was BIG MOMMA and MOMMA. WE LOVE YOU FOREVER!!!!
