Racine – Anton "Toni" Fenkl, age 88, passed away peacefully at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Thursday, October 20, 2016.

Toni was born on February 8, 1928 in Fonsau, Sudentenland to Maximillian and Magdalena (nee: Kolbe) Fenkl. On January 23, 1954 in Racine, he was united in marriage with Irmgard (nee: Hetzel) Fenkl.

Toni was employed as a machinist, retiring from Racine Hydraulics / Bosch. He enjoyed fishing, yard work and playing soccer with Racine Soccer Club. He was a proud member of the Deutscher Männer Verein (German Club) since 1952.

Surviving are his loving wife of nearly 63 years, Irmgard Fenkl; brothers, Alois (Katrina) Fenkl and Werner (Gertrude) Fenkl; nephews, Dieter (Roberta) Fenkl, Rick (Stan Pierce) Fenkl and Ronald (Cari) Fenkl; other dear relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Toni was preceded in death by his brother, Ludwig Fenkl; and nephew, Robert Fenkl.

Private family services were held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.

A special note of thanks to Ascension Hospice; Ridgewood Care Center – especially Peter; and to our devoted neighbors, Gaby and Rebecca for being there for Tony in his time of need.
