RACINE – Mr. Antoni Suchy, age 90, passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center on Sunday, November 27, 2005. He was born in Partynia, Poland on May 13, 1915. Mr. Suchy bravely served in the Polish National Army during WWII. After the war he settled in Racine and found work as a butcher, and in several local factories until he began working in the maintenance department of the Racine Unified School District. When Antoni retired he was the maintenance superintendent at JI Case high school. He enjoyed fishing and traveling, especially his trips to Europe to see his army comrades who had settled in England, France, and Germany. He was a member of PLAV Post 149. Antoni was a devout man of faith who prayed daily. He is survived by his wife, Bronislawa Suchy of Racine; grandson, Marcin Duleba of Kenosha; grand daughters, Edyta Odorowski of Kenosha, Justyna Kwalczyk and Marzena Kowalczyk both of Racine, and grandson Daniel Nadworski of Racine. He was also preceded by his first wife, Alicia Suchy. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2005. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m., and on Friday from 12-1p.m.
