On the morning of October 9, 2018, Antranette Smith made her transition at her home in Racine, Wisconsin.  Antranette Smith was born in Lauderdale County in the town of Quitman, Mississippi to Argie Lee (Smith)Moss and Willie McKenstry on December 2, 1956.

Antranette moved to Racine, Wisconsin at a young age with her sisters, which soon became her home.  Antranette was a high school graduate of Gateway Technical College in Racine Wisconsin. She went to Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  Antranette were employed by several Home Health Care Facilities for many years. She went to St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby.  Antranette enjoyed, doing many things such as, shooting pool, traveling and being with family and friends. She was also a “fashionista” she LOVED shopping and dressing.

Antranette leaves to carry on her legacy, her three beautiful children: Shushika Smith, Temika Smith and Xavier Johnson all of Racine Wisconsin.  She had two grandsons, Shavontae Smith and Antwon Smith of Racine, Wisconsin, along, with three great-grandchildren and one on the way.  Antranette also leaves behind three sisters and a brother: Deborah Smith of Racine Wisconsin, Renee (Booker T.) Sumrall of Jackson, Ms., Diane McKenstry and Darron (Jacqueline) Moss of Racine Wisconsin. Antranette had a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends that she loved in her own special way.  Antranette also leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, Dwight Moore, a very dear person who held a special place in her heart.

Antranette was preceded in death by her mother, Argie Lee Moss, her father, Willie McKenstry, her sister, Shelia Smith, a nephew Kendell Moss and two nieces Taynash L. Smith and Kizzy Riley.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018, 11:00am, in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., Racine, WI.  Visitation will be in the funeral home from 10:00 – 11:00am.  Please visit the website at a later date for her full obituary.
