RACINE- Arliss Mae Bass, 57, passed away at her residence on August 17, 2010. She was born in Racine on February 6, 1953, the daughter of the late Lester and Benedetta (Bernice, nee: Miliano) Worden.

Arliss graduated from Washington Park High School in 1971 and enjoyed working as a property manager for D. & O. Investments until 2007. She enjoyed spending time quality with her family and friends, "Gal Pal Night", playing bingo, photography, going to summer festivals and relaxing on the beach in St. Thomas, V.I. She was a very strong and independent woman and made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters Danielle Bass of Racine and SN Jennifer Bass, USN, of Monterey, CA; her granddaughter Hailey DeBoer of Racine, her sisters Mary Ann (Wayne) Ramirez of Omaha, AR, Carol (Tom) Johnson of Racine, and Jo (Tim) Manderfield of Racine, beloved partner John Bass, friend Lynn Dzurick, and many cherished friends, nieces, nephews and family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sheryl Jewell. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday August 21 from 10-12 for a visitation, with the funeral service to follow at 12 noon, officiated by Pastor John Fleming. The Bass family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Mullane and his wonderful staff at Oncology Alliance and the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Cancer Center.
