Arthur “Butch” Erickson Jr., 62, passed away at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was born in Racine on June 30, 1948, the son of the late Arthur and Lois (nee; Huesdens) Sr.

Butch had been employed by Jacobsen Mfg., Chuck’s Sheridan, Frank’s Towing and TVT Trucking. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, card playing, planning backyard picnics and pig roasts, and introducing “Jungle Juice” to his family and friends. He was a wonderful family man with a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving are the love of his life for the past 40 years Linda (nee: Kintzler) Erickson; children, Jennifer (Rob McGowan) Hombs, of Paris, WI, Jamie (Tom) Hayek, Trisha (Chris) Balke, and Tracy Wasik, all of Racine; grandchildren, Bryon, Samantha, Savannah, Dylan, Josh, Lydia, Ashlyn, and Avery; brother, Tom (Lori) Erickson, and their children, Auden and Cassidy, all of Sturtevant; mother-in-law, Elaine Kintzler, of Grays Lake, IL; and his dog, Molly. In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his son-in-law Jimmy Joe Hombs and his father-in-law, Harry Kintzler.

A memorial service celebrating Butch’s life will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, September 1st, at 12 o’clock noon, with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the family to establish a memorial at a later date.
