Ashland A. Ford, 16, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Sunday, October 15, 2006. She was born in Racine on October 28, 1989, the daughter of Eugenia Ford. She was a junior at Washington Park High School. Her survivors include her children, Devarion and Tomarrion Ford; mother and step-father, Eugenia (Kenneth Stanley) Ford-Stanley; sister and brother, Autumn Ford and Jamani Stanley of Racine; step-sisters and step-brother, Latasha Savage of Milwaukee, Kendra Stanley and Rashard Stanley of Enterprise, MS; grandparents, Maude Jelks of Racine, Joseph (Annie Pearl) Smith of Oxford, MS; great grandmother, Ada Wray of Racine and many aunts, uncles and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lula Smith, Clarence "C.J." Jelks and great grandmother, Ada White. Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church (1120 Grand Ave.) on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. for her Homegoing service. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. There will be a visitation in the church on Friday morning from 10-11 a.m. Memorials for Ashland's children would be appreciated.
