Barbara L. Griffin was born on February 18, 1957, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and passed away on October 9, 2026, at Froedtert South Hospital.
Barb earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and MBA from UW-Parkside. She began her career at Kenosha Aero, continued at Golden Books Publishing, and retired as Finance Director, Snap-on Tools Group. She was dedicated to her work and took great pride in a job well done.
Barb was friendly, outgoing, generous, and always ready with a joke. A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, she and her sister Pat texted throughout games, commiserating over the team's performance, even when they were winning, just not by enough!
Family was important to Barb. She loved holidays, family celebrations, and was always ready for a party. She hosted Christmas every year, ensuring everyone gathered together, even if cooking wasn't her specialty.
Barb's retirement dream was spending winters in Florida, and she enjoyed three months each year in Port Charlotte, meeting new friends and relaxing by the pool. Summers brought Kenosha's Peanut Butter & Jam concerts and church festivals. She even learned to enjoy bingo at the Moose Club.
She treasured the many friendships she built throughout her life. Known for her generous heart (including the donation of her organs), sense of humor, and strong will, Barb did things in her own time and may have been a world class procrastinator. She leaves behind many memories of laughter, friendship, and time spent together that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Betty Griffin. She is survived by her siblings, Pat Griffin, Gayle (Terry) Cumiskey, and Guy (Sue) Griffin, and her loving cousins.
The family thanks the Froedtert ICU nurses for their exceptional care of Barb, as well as Sarah, Sierra, and the Versiti team for their compassion and support in honoring Barb's organ donation wishes.
