Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, for a visitation from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm.
A service celebrating her life will follow at 5:30 pm.

RACINE – Barbara J. Dawson, 69, passed away at Oak Ridge Care Center in Union Grove on June 5, 2025.
She was born in Racine on February 10, 1956, the daughter of the late Albert and Carole (nee Tilbury) Dawson. She graduated from JI Case High School in 1974.
Barb was a lover of art, music and computer graphic designs. She enjoyed playing video games, especially Zelda. Barb was also very fond of all her past dogs and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her grandsons.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Jennifer Wesley; her grandsons, Henry and William Wesley; her brothers and sister, Mark Dawson, Robert (Michelle) Dawson, and Deb (John) Peterson; her nephews and niece, Kyle, Travis and Troy Dawson, Christopher Peterson, Kayla (Marty Baumgardner) Peterson; and her cousins, Margaret Bosanko, Rusty (Jean Rutter-Smith) Smith, Steve Tilbury, Sandi Barsamian, Dean Bosanko, and Angela Stewart.
Barb was also preceded in death by her brother, John Dawson, and her aunts, Leone Dawson and Rosemary Bolender.

Barb’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. William Bradley and his entire staff at the Froedtert Hospital gynecology/oncology department in Milwaukee for the loving and professional care she received over the years during her illness.

Scott and I were deeply saddened to hear this heartbreaking news. We both cherished Barb and thoroughly enjoyed working alongside her for years. Her kindness and vibrant spirit brought joy and laughter to everyone around her. Barb’s generosity knew no bounds; she was always ready to lend a hand and offer support whenever it was needed.
