~~Beatrice (nee: Brown) Crain, age 86 was born into eternal life on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Beatrice was born in Enterprise, MS on March 16, 1928, to the union of the late Talmadge Sr. and Mary (nee: Gordon) Brown. Beatrice accepted the Lord at an early age and maintained her Christian faith throughout her life. She loved reading her Bible and listening to Gospel Music. Those who know Beatrice can attest to her strength and austerity. They would also know that Beatrice was the sweetest, kindest and most loving woman you could ever know. It was her crowning glory to have the opportunity to be blessed as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a great-great grandmother. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, baking, and spending time with her loving family, especially around the holidays. Her loving smile and tender touch will be missed by all who knew and loved her. To cherish her precious memories, she leaves her children; Lois Howze, James (Betty) Riley, Eric Riley, Gwendolyn Riley, Deborah Riley, Beverly Miller, Pamela (Robert) Long, and Patricia (William III) Griggs, she also leaves 29 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren and 20 great great-grandchildren, brother; George Brown and brother-in-law; Renzel (Anita) Crain. In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children; Leon Riley, her husband of 24 years; Ivory Crain, children; Pearlie Mae Riley and Johnnie Mae Riley; great-grandson, Dana Giese, brothers; Walter Brown, James Brown, Ernest Brown, Talmadge Brown Jr., Lemuel Brown, Albert Brown, John Brown, Izear Brown and Eddie Brown Sr., sisters; Katie M. Dumas, Arrilla Pinson and Helen Wray, A celebration of Beatrice's life will be held Thursday, April 3rd, 11:00 am at St. Paul MBC, 1123 Center Street. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00am until the time of service.
