Bennie, 22.was called home by his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 7, 2006. He was born in Englewood Hospital, Chicago on April 19, 1984, the son of Vanessa Taylor and Bennie L. Smith. He moved to Racine later in 1984. Bennie was a member of Deliverance Crusaders Church. He went to Jersted -Angerholm, Gilmore, Horlick, and the Mack Center here in Racine. He was presently attending Lake County College. Surviving are his parents, Vanessa Taylor of Waukegan and Bennie L. Smith of Racine; his 3 sisters and brother, Monique Taylor, Erica Smith, Sharaine Taylor and Sebastian Ransom, all of Racine; his grandparents, Lillian Taylor of Racine and Johnny Sanders of Demopolis, AL. His aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends further survive him. Bennie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Long and Charles McFarland; his aunt Patricia Ransom, and by his uncles James Long and Johnell Long. His Homegoing Service will be held in the Second Missionary Baptist Church, 1250 Lathrop Ave., on Monday, May 15th, at 12 O'clock Noon, with Rev. Daryn Crenshaw officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Monday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Service.
