Racine – Berlinda Ann Spears, known affectionately as "Big Red", 65, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.  She was born in Tennessee on November 12, 1958, daughter of the late Joe and Doris (Jackson) Puckett.

Our mother was a beautiful and strong woman.  A true fighter, she didn't believe in giving up.  She loved listening to her music while cooking big Sunday dinners for the family.  She loved taking car trips down south to Mississippi and her hometown in Tennessee.  She loved life, she loved being free, and she was the life of the party.  Big Red is a woman who will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Berlinda leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, William Cox; children, Joseph Spears, David Spears, Mose Cox; grandchildren, Jorahh Ann Spears, Jaden Spears, Cecilia Spears, Trinity Spears, Demaj Cox, Loyahl Cox, Mosiah Cox; siblings, Gloria Sanders, Wesley Puckett, Jeffery Puckett, Stephania Puckett; favorite cousin, Carolyn Peet; nieces and nephews, Dorissa Moore, Maurice Moore, Darrielle Swift, Dorisha Puckett, Brendan Puckett; best friend, Marilyn Hudson; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

A celebration of Brenda's life and homegoing will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022, 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 10:30am until the time of the service.  Per Berlinda's wishes, cremation will occur after the funeral.
