Racine- Bobbie Jean (nee: Clark) Moore, 70, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded with the love of family, on Friday, October 28, 2011, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Bobbie Jean was born in Okolona, MS on January 15, 1941 to the late Zedekiah and Nancy (nee: Montgomery) Clark. She lived in the South until moving to Racine in 1976.
On August 14, 1977 she was united in marriage with the love of her life, William "Edward" Moore. Bobbie Jean was employed through Mahler Enterprises at In-Sink-Erator. With a profound Christian faith, she was a proud member of New Omega Baptist Church. Among her interests, Bobbie Jean truly enjoyed cooking and taking a good long walk. Above all, Bobbie Jean loved being in the surroundings of her entire family.
Surviving are her loving husband, William "Ed" Moore of Racine; children, Michael (Melinda) Moore of Houston, TX; Gail (Dontay) McGee, Bernard (Willie Mae) Gill, Edward Moore, Stephen Gill, all of Racine; Mark Gill of Oceanside, CA; Tyrone (Andrea) Moore and LaVonda Perkins, both of Racine; 22 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Robert (Mary) Clark, George Clark, Willie Clark, Betty Thomas, Helen (Henderson) Clark-Maclin, and Floyd Clark; brother-in-law, Tommie (Bob-Brette) Moore; sisters-in-law, Georgia Crawford and Katie Graves; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bobbie Jean was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Joyce A. Gill on October 22, 2000; sister, Mary Buchanan; and brothers-in-law, Sammie Crawford and Ben Graves.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held at New Omega Baptist Church, 5731 Northwestern Ave., at 11:00 am on Friday, November 4, 2011 with Rev. Fred L. Richmond officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Viewing will be in the church on Friday from 10-11 am.
A special thanks to Dr. Choi, Dr. Taylor, Dr. Jay, Wheaton Franciscan Cancer Center and Hospice for the compassionate care and support given to Bobbie Jean during her three-year journey with cancer. May God bless all of you!
