Milwaukee – Brian E. Haas, 42, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 12, 2009. He was a 1985 graduate of St. Catherine's High School. Brian was a proud member of the Roma Italian Welfare Association.

Brian was a 17 year veteran of the Milwaukee Police Department. Brian was a loyal friend and co-worker to many. He enjoyed telling colorful jokes and stories. Brian took pleasure in Italian language and heritage, good food, music, computers, gardening, and was an animal lover.

He is survived by his parents, John "Red" and Laurine Haas (nee Perino) of Racine; fiancé, Lisa Rynecki Diaz of Milwaukee; sisters, Barbara (John) McLoughlin of Rhinelander; Kristin (Kelly) Cecil of Tomahawk; nephew and nieces, Charles McLoughlin, Karli and Courtney Cecil; and many other relatives and friends. He will also be missed by his animal family; Frankie, Bella, Luca, Toby, Murr and Kitty.

Visitation will be in the funeral home from 4-6:30p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2009 followed by the Roma Lodge Service of Remembrance. Memorial services officiated by Rev. Domenic Roscioli will begin at 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society.
