Bruce "Pudgie" Palmer, 78, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 11, 2021.
He was born in Racine on July 21, 1942, the son of the late Raymond H. and Virginia (nee: Binstock) Palmer.
On September 23, 1961, in the Union Grove Methodist Church, he was united in marriage to Judith Lynn Spencer. "Pudgie" was a Journeyman Machinist, retiring from Insinkerator Corp. after 24 years.
He was with the Sturtevant Volunteer Fire Department for over 23 years, serving as the Chief for 3 years. "Pudgie" enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, especially the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers. After retiring, "Pudgie" enjoyed the great outdoors with his family and friends. Pudgie also enjoyed sharing his favorite homemade dishes with many of his closest friends. If you were included in his special deliveries, consider yourself family.
Surviving are his wife, Judy; their children, Shelli (Dennis) York, Becke Palmer (Kory Valente), and Michael Palmer (Elaine Thompson); nine grandchildren, Dustin York, Devin York, Amber Waege, Autumn Waege, Dylan Waege, Robin Marsolek, Brooke Henrics, Skylar Palmer, and Spencer Rose Palmer; ten great-grandchildren, Alisa, Makenzie, Donovan, Sylas, Brady, Johnathan, Kylie, Taylor, Riley, Azlynn, and Sullivan; his sister, Boots Amos; sisters-in-law, Terri Nelson and Pam Spencer. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Bruce "Pudgie" Palmer, 78, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 11, 2021. In keeping with Pudgie's wishes cremation has already taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
