Byron "Goldie"
Derone Daniels, Sr.
Apr 20, 1968 — Jun 18, 2023
Byron "Goldie" Derone Daniels, Sr. age 55 was born April 20, 1968, in Racine, WI to John Daniels, Jr. and Mary (Knight) Jackson. Byron was raised in Mobile, AL and graduated from Davidson High School, where he was a track star. Byron had many interests and hobbies like bowling, fishing, chess, and golfing. He earned his living as a commercial and residential painter, and he was "superb" at his craft. However, Byron was a jack-of-all trades including cooking and other sports. He was a wiz with numbers. Byron enjoyed meeting new people and he was definitely a people-person. He loved his family. His mom was precious, and his children and grandchildren meant the world to him, and he adored his devoted wife. She was his best friend; his "rock" and "back-bone" is how he would put it.
Byron leaves to cherish his memories his wife Tracy (Cosey) of twenty years; his children Byron Daniels, Jr. (Phoenix, AZ), Bryttrise Daniels (Arlington, TX), Quandre Daniels (Racine), Jaylyn Watts (Birmingham, AL), Kiona Bolton-Daniels, David Ellis, (both of Racine) and Tyler Ellis (Joppatowne, MD). Grandchildren Zamarion, Brooklyn, Jahmir, Demetrios, Reign, Korbin, Ja'Niylah, Zoey, Davina, Da'Niyah, Aariyah, and Layvon. Three siblings Cordelia Daniels, Alderic (Torcivia) Daniels, and Latonya (Timothy) Williams. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends and dear friends, Casey Fisher and Valerie Bunville, and long-time friend Marshall Turner.
Byron was preceded in death by his father John Daniels and son Tyron Ellis.
