Calvin Junior "Grip" Odemens, 67, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020 at Ignite-Season Hospice in Oak Creek. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 4, 1953 the son of Harrison and Erma Lee (nee: Hathaway) Odems. "Grip" loved walking his dog Cody, listening to music, shooting pool, and going to various casinos in the area.

Surviving are his children, Camiki Cobbz, of Houston, TX, and Carmallia (Chadwick) Young, of Kenosha ; 8 grandchildren; his mother, Erma Lee Knox, of Racine; seven siblings, Roosevelt Taylor, of Milwaukee, Erma Jean Odems, of Racine, Abbott Griffin, of Toledo, OH, Lisa Marshall, of Madison, Lawrence Griffin, of Racine, Cornelius Griffin, in California, and Carolyn Griffin, in Madison, WI. "Grip" is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Harrison, sister, Rosetta Griffin, brother, Floyd Griffin, niece, Monique Golden, nephew, Brian Golden, and loving cousin, Gwendolyn Hall.

The family wants to extend a big thank you to Chadwick Young, husband of Carmallia, and "Grip's" best friend, for always being there for him.
