~~Racine-~~Calvin Leon Martin departed this life on Monday, November 23, 2015, at the age of 54. He was born on January 18, 1961, to Carvin Martin and Dorothy (Judon) Martin. He was educated in the Racine Unified School District. At an early age Calvin accepted Christ and united with Shiloh Stronghold Church of God in Christ. He was employed by Wisconsin Plating as a Plater for 35 years. Calvin had many hobbies including working on cars; playing Dominos and playing cards. He loved football and basketball and was definitely a fan of the Steelers and Lakers. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his daughter: Cicel Young; his granddaughter: Dejih Cooper; Step-Mother: Jessie Mae (Grandberry) Martin; Nine Sisters: Yvonne (Ernest) Daniels; Ann Pope; Toni Martin; Linda Williams; Koren Martin, Shelia Martin Patricia (Roosevelt) Henderson; Michelle Martin, Tiffany Grandberry. Six Brothers: Lonnie Grandberry, Nathaniel Grandberry, Darvin Martin, John Martin, Jermaine Martin, Alcinder Grandberry. Special Uncle: John A. Judon. Special Cousins: Sharon Martin and Phylis Carter; Special Nieces: Dartavia Martin and London U. Martin; Best Friends: Garvon (Cooley) Bond and Marcus Walter. He is further survived by a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends that are too numerous to name. He was preceded in death by his parents: Carvin Martin and Dorothy (Judon) Martin; his grandparents: Curtis (Lela) Martin and Peter (Emma Lou) Judon; Brother-in-Law: Walter Pope; Aunts: Shirley Martin and Mary Judon; Uncles: Edward (Rick) Martin and Ezekiel Judon.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, November 30th in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home at 11:00am. The visitation will be on Monday from 10:00am until the time of service. Bishop John Williams will be officiating.
