Obituary

My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Racine, WI. –  Carol Louise Bostick was born January 1, 1952 to Ardell Bostick and Virginia Arthur in Racine, WI. On December 16, 2021, God spoke and Carol answered the call of her Loving Savior to join in celebration with her father, Ardell Bostick, and grandmother, Julia Bostick.

Carol graduated from Park High School in 1970 and IBA Beauty School in 1972. Carol accepted Christ at an early age. She was a devout member to Faith Church of God, Greater Grace Temple C.O.G.I.C and Gateway Ministries.

Under the guidance of her beloved grandmother, Carol began doing hair at the early age of nine. After completing beauty school, Carol's professional cosmetology career began at Pauline's and then later she worked at Image Makers. During her time as a cosmetologist, she owned several of her own salons including Hang Loose, Carol's First Edition, My Business Unisex, CaLēs, and Carol B's.

Carol's greatest love was for God and family. Instilling her faith in God and a sense of family into everyone she met, she was by nature a "mother" to a countless number of children throughout her family and community. She often opened her home, her heart, and a batch of her famous burritos to all who crossed her path. She was known in her community as a true woman of God who fed, clothed, and sheltered anyone in need.

Carol leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Virginia Arthur; five children, Antoinette "Toni" Bostick and Tammi Bostick of Atlanta, GA, Tyron (Kathryn) Bostick of Memphis, TN, David Billingsley and Devron Bostick of Racine, WI; nine siblings, Leonardo (Joyce) Bostick of Fresno, CA, Ardell Bostick of Racine, WI, John Shelton of Monroe, LA, Lisa Wilson of Milwaukee, WI, Tina Brooks and Wanda (Robert) Minued of Racine, WI, LaDawn Bostick-Jones of Seattle, WA, Andre Brooks and Kevin (Stephanie) Bostick of Racine, WI; one stepsister, Patricia Husband (David) of Port Arthur, TX; ten grandchildren, Kaila Bostick, Denzel Bostick, Kahlil Bostick, Anthony Carothers Jr.,  Breydon Hargrove, Amiriah Carothers, Tya Bostick, Cadence Billingsley, Kayden Billingsley, Sarah Billingsley; one great-granddaughter: Kennedi Ntuli; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends whose lives she positively impacted.

The Celebration of Her Beautiful Life will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 1:00pm at Grace Church, 3626 Highway 31, Racine, WI. Visitation will be at the church 11:00am – 1:00pm.
