Racine – Carol Jean Green, age 65, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 19, 2016 following a two-year battle with cancer.

A lifetime resident of Racine, Carol was born on December 20, 1950 to the late Leonard and Lillian (nee: Anderson) Wosyk. She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1969. On October 22, 1977 in Atonement Lutheran Church, she was united in marriage with George Douglas Green.

Carol enjoyed her job at JI Case High School in the attendance office. She was a lifelong member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Carol was forever planning & hosting parties and was known to "overfeed" her family & friends.

Surviving are her loving husband, Doug; their children, Stephanie (Scott) Naegeli and Beth (Cameron) Peterson; grandchildren, Andrew, Emma & Ian Naegeli; Matthew & Maci Peterson; sister, Sharon Dresen; brother, John Wosyk; special niece who was "like a third daughter", Julie Mazurkiewicz; brother-in-law, Robert Green; special card playing cousins, Jerry & Judy Madsen; other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sisters-in-law, Barbara (Earl) Hartzheim and Mary Green, and brother-in-law, Al Dresen.

Funeral services will be held at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 2417 Drexel Avenue, on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11:00 am with Rev. Sue Ruehle officiating. A memorial luncheon will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and in the church on Tuesday from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer or to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
