Sturtevant – Carolyn Ruth Elleman, 68, passed away unexpectedly at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center on Tuesday, April 7th, 2009. Carolyn was born in Sloans Valley, Kentucky on June 21st, 1940 to the late Hollis and Ada (nee: Shadoan) Helton. She graduated from St. Albans High School, St. Albans, West Virginia in 1958. On May 28th, 1960, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Peter Aldus Elleman, who preceded her in death on April 28th, 2008. Among her interests, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and racing sports. Surviving are her daughter, Ada (Walter) Gray; son, Peter "Scott" (Lisa) Elleman; grandchildren, Sean and Ruth Gray; Crystal and Eric Elleman; sisters, Gail (Fred) Bowser, Phyllis (Chris) Navetta and Fay (Walter) Duff; brother, James (Carolyn) Helton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In accordance with Carolyn's wishes, private services were held.
