Catherine Hood, age 55, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

Cathy was born in Milwaukee on December 6, 1967 to John and Irene (nee: Griffin) Grota. On April 17, 1999, she was united in marriage with Christopher Hood. Cathy loved the Brewers, Jerry Springer, Kenny Rogers and Tweety. She enjoyed puzzles, and Cathy was most proud of the fact that she shared her birthday with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Surviving are her husband, Chris; daughter, Paige; sisters and brother, Patty (Don) Moresco, Bobby (Susie) Grota, Amy (Steve) Ignasiak, Maureen (Dan) Piemeisel and Joanne (Chris) Forrest; mother-in-law, Joan Hood; grandmother-in-law, Drucilla Lyles; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robin (Paula) Hood, Kim (Calvin) Worthy, Bridgette (Rahn) Leveston and Candace (Mike) Handy; many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews, too numerous to mention by name. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Irene Grota; father-in-law, Kermit Hood.

There will be a memorial service for Cathy in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 10:00AM until the time of service. Private inurnment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Racine Case Girls Basketball Program.
