Cathyrn T. Bresnahan, 87, passed away in Wheaton Franciscan Hospital-All Saints, on Saturday, June 29, 2013. She was born in St. Cloud, MN, on April 8, 1926, the daughter of the late Joe and Bertha (nee: Neeser) Rengel.
On May 29, 1954, she was united in marriage to Benjamin C. Bresnahan, who preceded her in death on January 17, 2010. Mrs. Bresnahan was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, and the Altar Sodality. She had been employed by Twin Disc, Security National Bank, Goodwill Industries, and J.C. Penny. Mrs. Bresnahan enjoyed, quilting, sewing, antiques, gardening, reading the St. Cloud Times, and keeping in touch with friends and family. Her family was the center of her life.
Surviving are her children, Harley (Mary Ann) Bresnahan, and Colleen (Jon) Gename, all of Racine, 5 grandchildren, Sarah (Denis Greatens) Bresnahan, of Racine, Rory (Inbal) Bresnahan, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Candace (Michael) Davies, of Raleigh, NC, Brian (Laura Peterson) Gename, and Kyle (Teal Radford) Gename, of Las Cruses, NM, and 2 great grandchildren, Gabriel and Eliav Bresnahan. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents and loving husband, Mrs. Bresnahan was preceded in death by her infant son Thomas, and sister, Marie Kubat.
Her Memorial Mass will be held at St. Edward's Church, 15th and Grove Ave., on Saturday, July 6th at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Relatives and friends can meet with the family, in the church, on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Private inurnment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to St. Edward's Church, St. Monica's Senior Home, or the Poor Clare Sisters, 421 – 4th St. South, Sauk Rapids, MN 56379.
The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Gullberg, his
staff, as well as all the staff of WFH-All Saints Cardiac Institute
for the loving care given to Cathryn and her family.
