Cathy Ann Starks, lovingly known as "Mom City" or "Memaw," passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at the age of 69. Cathy was born on January 10, 1956, in Racine, Wisconsin, where she lived her entire life surrounded by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Janet Geotz, and her sister, Joan Paolocci.

Cathy is survived by her two sons, Preston (Laurie) Pearson and Larry(Chel) Pearson Jr., both of Racine; her close niece, Amy Willfahrt of Racine; her cherished grandchildren, Dajia Pearson, Armoni Pearson, and G'vonni Pearson("Duke"); and her beloved great-grandchildren, D'Maya Mangum ("Mama") and D'Marion Pearson ("Doodie"). A'nyah Mary Jean Ford, Kyaire James Lowe.

A proud graduate of J.I. Case High School, Cathy went on to earn her degree in Culinary Arts from Gateway Technical College. She dedicated 28 years of her life to serving the community as a city bus driver for the City of Racine, retiring in 2018.

Cathy's love for her family was boundless. She especially treasured time spent with her grandbabies and great-grandbabies. Known for her warmth, humor, and generosity, she had a true passion for cooking and entertaining, creating countless memories around her kitchen table.

Per Cathy's wishes, no formal services will be held. A celebration of her life will take place in the coming months, where her family and friends will gather to honor her legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness.
