Cecelia Ann James, 71, was called Home by her Loving Savior on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Mrs. James was born in Chicago, IL on November 19, 1943 the daughter of the late Nelson and Lorraine (nee: Evans) Minor.
Mrs. James was a graduate of Marshall High School. On October 3, 1969, she was united in marriage to Frank James Sr., who preceded her in death on June 30, 2005. She had been employed by the Marine Bank and later by ATC Leasing until retiring in November of 2005. Mrs. James was a member of Changing Lives Ministries. She enjoyed doing needle stitch, baking, and caring for her family. She will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her aunt, Anita Euwing; children, Brian Edwards, Denise Edwards, Kimberly (Melvin) Lewis, Rev. Frank Timothy (Yolanda) James II, Anita James, Frank James Jr., Troy James, Christopher (Kim) James, and Donald Gillespie, all of Racine; 31 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren; lifelong friends, Henry and Dorothy Webster, of Chicago, IL.
Her Homegoing service will be held in the Changing Lives Ministries Church, 703 Washington Ave., at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 3rd, with her son, Rev. Frank Timothy James II officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Graceland Cemetery on Monday, January 5th. Please meet at the front gate of the cemetery.
