RACINE – Chad W. Kohel, 46, passed away unexpectedly at Ascension All Saints on Friday, March 3, 2017.

He was born in Racine on September 26, 1970.  He graduated from Horlick High School in 1988.

He baked for Bendsten's Bakery and Pic 'n Save until health issues forced him to stop working.  Chad umpired for the city of Racine for many years.  He was so passionate about that job and was known as one of the best umpires ever.  He also excelled in darts and was a top league player.     He was known amongst his friends by always having a nickname for everyone and for being an avid Cowboys and Orioles fan.

Chad is survived by his sons, Austin Hill and Kaden Kohel; his mother, Connie (Bill) Domanico-Lyons; his father, Dan Kohel; his brother, Ryan Kohel; his grandmother, Donna (Lowell) Katt; his cousin, Chris Smith and his loving, special friend, Mona Hoffmann all of Racine.    He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Mae Kohel, Bendt Bendtsen and his uncle, Allen Kohel.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, March 13, 2017 for a visitation and time to meet with his family from 5-7 p.m.  Please wear your favorite jersey in Honor of Chad.  A formal service will not take place.
