Obituary

Charles Anderson, 76, of Racine, WI was called home by his Lord on Jan. 11, 2021. He was born in Champaign, IL on April 14, 1944, son of Rev, Albert and Rosie (nee: Thomas) Anderson. Charles attended local Champaign schools until his enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1961, where he proudly served his country. Charles completed his high school education while in the military. Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1965, he moved to Racine, WI where he became employed at Case Industrial and worked as a machine operator until his retirement in 2004. He also met the love of his life, Naomie Boatner, and they were united in marriage on December 25, 1965. In 2007, Charles dedicated his life to his Lord, being baptized and becoming a member of Wayman AME Church. Charles enjoyed shooting darts, listening to and collecting music, and spending time with his family and friends. Upon his retirement, his enjoyment became spending time with all of his grandchildren. Charles will be known as a hardworking family man who also had a great sense of humor. Surviving are his children, Annetta Anderson, Dwight(Treva) Anderson and Daud(Lakisha) Ahmad; grandchildren, Tanisha(James Jr.) Stokes, Tiamber Ramsey, Trina and Trent Viney, Darius Malone, Xavier, Devin, and Makenna Anderson, Shanice(Jamie) Rigmaiden, Shakira and Shakayla Ahmad, and 10 great-grandchildren; special brother, Darrell Anderson, 11 other siblings, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; his wife, Naomie Anderson; daughter, Lori Golden; siblings, Lawrence Anderson, Allan Anderson, Emma Hunt, Olevia Robertson, and Thomas Anderson.

Service Details

Homegoing Services for Mr. Charles Anderson will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2121, at Eleven O' Clock in the Morning with Reverend Ernest Ni'A officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. https://youtu.be/u2UQxiNO1wA
