Charles A. Bauer,  56, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2016, surrounded by his family.  He was born in Racine on March 22, 1960, to Charles and Janet (nee: Bilik) Bauer. In 1981, he met Dawn (nee: Hawley,) and they were married on May 23, 1987. He lived in Racine most of his life. He graduated from Case High School in 1978 and had an associate degree in Electronics from Gateway Tech. He worked in manufacturing for almost 35 years, last working at General Mills.

He enjoyed many sports and spent many, many Sundays watching football or golf with family and friends. He enjoyed softball and bowling, but the game he loved was golf and had 3 holes- in- one to show for it. He loved little 3 day trips up north to golf and see classic car and tractor shows.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, his parents, his stepdaughter Christina Schultz (Milwaukee), brother James (Lynn), sister Tracy Trentadue(Jason), all of Racine. His nephew Matthew (Madison) and niece, Destiny Salvatore  (Racine). He is also survived by his mother in law Dorothy Hutchison (Racine) and two brothers in law Donald Hawley (Washington) and David Hawley (Nevada). He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Theresa Bauer , Ed and Julia Santarelli and his father in law Donald Hawley.

Services will be held at the funeral home on at 1pm on Saturday May 14, 2016. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation in the funeral home will be from 10am – 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Racine Zoo, Racine Humane Society or your favorite charity would be appreciated.
