Charles (Bruh) Gory received the promise of eternal life on November 6,2021. He was born in Lambert, MS, on July 15,1950, son of the late J.D and Mattie (Fife) Gory.

He was united in marriage to former Diane Marie Simpson on July 7, 1973, a marriage 48 years strong.

Charles worked at Daimler Chrysler for 30 years. Charles enjoyed his family. He loved outdoors and loved to plant trees for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards, badminton, and firing up the grill for some BBQ. He liked to travel taking long road trips with family and friends. Let's not forget his love for jazz music.

Charles leaves to cherish his loving wife, Diane Gory; daughters, Alisa Downs (Racine,WI), Marika Gory (Denton, TX); son, Marques Gory (Racine, WI); 10 grandchildren, Jamilah Thornton, Jordan Dyess, Marissa Dyess, Alina Dyess, Xariyah Hiler, Xaier Hiler, Amari Gory, Harmoni Gory, Xavyn Hiler, and Mya Gory; 4 great-grandchildren, Zakai Williams, J'lani Dyess, Mauii  Smith, and Ezra Morales; siblings, Alice Poole (Racine, WI), Rudy (Audrey) Gory ( Orange CA), Juanita (Jimmy Joe) Almond (Racine ,WI ), Muriel Quinn (Waterloo, IA), Pat Gory (Racine WI) and Marcella Gory (Green Bay ,WI); mother-in-law, Ethel Simpson (Racine , WI) ;  sisters-in-law, Nedra Ballard (West Memphis, AZ), Linda Simpson (Stone Mountain, GA), Gay Simpson (Racine, WI), Barbara (Barry) Thompson (Racine , WI); special cousin as a brother, Jimmy (Georgia) Mathews (Lambert , MS); aunt, Mildred Thigpen (South Haven, MS); godson, Darius Smith (Abilene, TX); special friend, JP; followed by a host of niece's nephews and good friends.

In addition to his parents, Charles in proceeded in death by his brother, Marcus Gory; aunt, Alice B Smith; father-in-law, Johnny Simpson; brothers-in-law, Artis Stewart and Victor Quinn; special sister-in-law, Candace Flowers; and grandson, Angel Hiler.

A celebration of Charles life will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, 4:00pm until 7:00pm, at the Delta Inn Hotel Ballroom located at 7111 Washington Ave Racine, WI 53406.
