Kenosha- Charles H. Anderson, 77, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Froedtert South – St. Catherine’s Campus, surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born in Kenosha on September 13, 1941, son of the late Harry and Camille (Née: Busch) Anderson.

Chuck was united in marriage on July 25, 1996, to the former Alice Ellsworth.  Alice preceded Chuck in death on July 27, 2018.

Chuck was educated and graduated from St. James School and St. Joseph High School.  He worked and retired from Burgess, Anderson, and Tate in Zion, IL.  For many years he was a “famous bartender” at The Windjammer Restaurant and The Elk’s Club.  Chuck always enjoyed dinners with his siblings and their spouses.  He took great joy in his children and grandchildren.  Chuck loved his dogs, Charlie and Maggie.

Chuck will be dearly missed by his children, Kristina (Jeff) Pearson of Libertyville, IL, Nicholas Anderson, Richard (Carrie) Anderson, both of Pleasant Prairie; their mother, Tina Ritacca; grandchildren, Sophia and Jeffrey Pearson; siblings, Bruce (Janet) Anderson, Alice (Kurt) Roemer, Philip (Kathleen) Anderson, all of Kenosha; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends too numerous to mention.

TIME CHANGE: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Januyary 29, 2019, 4:00pm, at St. James Catholic Church, 5804 Sheridan Road, with Rev. The family extends special gratitude to Chuck’s neighbors, Larry and John, and wonderful friend, Marge Jarvey.  The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to Community Care as well as the staff at Froedtert South – St. Catherine’s for the professional services rendered, especially Dr. Bloom and Dr. Mariani.

To Bruce, Philip, Alice, Kristina, Nicholas, and Richard, you have our deepest sympathy. Chuck was my best friend when we lived on 7th Avenue near each other. I will remember Chuck with many fond memories.

We will always remember the great times with had with Chuck on the ski trips out west.
He always had a smile for everyone. We spent many Fridays at The Windjammer enjoying the “best old fashions in town”. Rest in peace Chuck, you will be missed.

Testimonials

August 1, 2025

Words cannot even begin to express the tremendous gratitude our family has for a team like the one at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. Thank you for the gentle lovely care over our mother Delia (Rosa) Balderas. Never having had a direct experience with a funeral home to this extent we didnt know what to expect. We didnt have a clue that they would step right in and have the most comforting team surrounding us that thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING for anyone in our position. It was very evident from the first discussion on the phone that they were already well prepared to handle every little detail for us that we weren’t even aware would be required. Mark and his team truly eased so much of the unknown worries right out of our path, and left room for us to just focus on the small personal details we wanted for our mom. It was nice to know that all cost involved was in black and white on their site as well as on paper at our first meeting. Leaving no room for question or doubt what so ever with any fee involved. It was truly a blessing to have everything written out so well and simplified with various price range options in a time that we needed crystal clear direction. Its been beautiful to see that their care and service didnt stop after our mom’s service came to an end. They continue to be in communication with immediate responses as questions arise along the way. God bless Mark, and the entire compassionate team, to be around to guide many many more for generations to come through life’s most difficult times. You are all truly amazing.

Hilda Balderas
