He especially loved “The Wizard of Oz” and admired icons like Judy Garland, Lucille Ball, Elizabeth Montgomery, and Cher. These passions brought him comfort and happiness throughout his life.

He is survived by his siblings: Gail (Struebing) and Joseph Machalik, Daniel (Barb) Struebing, Lynn (Struebing) and John Avitabile, and Jay Struebing. Christopher was a beloved uncle to nephews Jacob (Rosa) Avitabile, Joseph (Maggie) Avitabile, Tyler (Kaytlyn) Struebing, Adrian Machalik, Daniel (Elissa) Machalik, and John Mark Avitabile; nieces Maria (Struebing) Gerardo, Samantha (Machalik) and Charlie Gallagher, Leah (Avitabile) and Daniel Cotsajay, Charlotte Machalik, and Alicia (Avitabile) and Joseph Cissell, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.
