Racine – Clarence O. Stapleman, age 89, passed away at home, surrounded with the love of family, early Friday, October 24, 2025.

A lifetime resident, Clarence was born in Racine on August 2, 1936 to the late Clarence O. Stapleman Sr. and Mary Ann (nee: Kissh) Stapleman. He was a 1954 graduate of St. Catherine's High School. Born with the gift to gab, Clarence began his sales career as the assistant manager of Richman Bros. Clothing in Elmwood Plaza. During that time, he interviewed and hired an associate by the name of Loretta "Lorie" (nee: Young). Sparks flew between to two….they were united in marriage on February 1, 1964 in St. Joseph's Church.

Eventually, Clarence became the area sales representative for Lorillard Tobacco Company for over 23 years. He was a proud & faithful member of Racine Bible Church where he was active in Adult Bible Fellowship. A man who appreciated the simple things in life, Clarence enjoyed gardening and yardwork. Above all, he was a proud and dedicated family man.

Surviving are his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Lorie; their children, Jon (Tracy) Stapleman, Tracey (Jeff) Exner and Scott (Kari) Stapleman; grandchildren, Sarah (Andrew) Abner, Kayla (Fernando) Luna; Daniel (Lydalis), Michael (fiancé, Delaney Jensen) and David Stapleman; great-grandchildren, Matthew Abner; Eliana and Jeremiah Luna; Anastacia and Melody Stapleman; sister, Susan Milne; sisters-in-law, Verda Trout and Marilyn Anspaugh;  nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by Lorie's parents, Carl and Louise Young; and brothers-in-law, Fred Milne, Bill Trout and James Anspaugh.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 11:00 am in Racine Bible Church (12505 Spring Street) with Pastor Darien Bowers officiating. A luncheon will follow. Visitation will be in Racine Bible Church on Friday from 10-11 am. Memorials to "Racine Bible Church" have been suggested.
