Mrs. Claudine L. Vaughn, 77, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, June 6, 2007. She was born in Cotton Plant, Arkansas on February 17, 1930 to the late Willie and Emily (nee: Walker) Dogans. While living in Racine she worked at High Ridge for over 20 years. She moved to Herrin, IL with her husband Alvin Vaughn. Claudine recently moved back to Racine. Her survivors include her brothers and sister, Acie (Sammie) Dogans of Racine, Thelme (Lee) Finley of Warren, AR, Alvin (Maggie) Dogans of Fort Wayne, IN and numerous nieces and nephews. Claudine was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin and her sisters, Charline, Nore, Beatrice and Stella. Family and friends are invited to meet at New Omega Baptist Church (5731 Northwestern Ave.) on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of her Homegoing. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. There will be a visitation in the church on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m.
