Racine – Clyde Jerome Strong, 62, passed away at home on Saturday, May 19, 2018. He was born in New Albany, Mississippi on February 17, 1956, the son of James and Mavis (nee: McNeal) Strong Sr. He was a Racine resident for most of his life. Clyde graduated from Walden III High School in 1975 and spent nearly 30 years working in various offices for the State of Wisconsin. Clyde loved to play chess, racquetball, and was a voracious reader.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his only son, Antonio Leroy Strong. He is survived by his grandchildren: Zerell Strong, Zerron Strong, and Da'Kyra Strong all of Racine; brothers: James Strong Jr. and Sam Strong both of Racine, Lee (Francine) Strong and Wayne (Terri) Strong both of Madison; nieces and nephews: Jamie Strong, Darnell Davidson both of Racine, Myles Strong, Byron (Ashley) Strong both of Madison, Jessica Strong of Alexandria, VA, Tyronne (Sarah) Strong and Myles Philips both of St. Paul, MN; as well as other relatives and friends, especially Jennifer Reff of Racine

A memorial service for Mr. Strong will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Gregg Chapel CME Church (2237 Howe Street) at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Green officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation in the church will begin at 10:00 a.m.
