Connie Gray

Aug 29, 1962 – Mar 3, 2012

Ms. Connie Gray, 50, finished her race, March 3, 2012 at her home. She was born August 29, 1962, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Hattie Pearl & Henry Gray. Connie moved to Racine, WI when she was four years and made Racine her home.  She went through the Racine Unified School system and received her high school diploma from Gateway Technical College in Racine, WI.

Connie was an intelligent, outgoing, grateful, and well loved by all who knew her. Her greatest joy was walking around Racine spreading joy through her smile and volunteering her time at the Martin L.King Community center. 

Connie leaves to cherish her memories: one son Marcus Gray-Gunn (Chicago, IL), four sisters: Inell Snow (Janesville, WI), Zelma Gray, Tiffany Gray (Racine, WI), and Yolanda Gray (Atlanta, Georgia). Two brothers: Dwayne Gray (Racine, WI) and Randy Gray (Green bay, WI). Connie also has many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish her memories. She leaves behind a Special Friend to cherish her Elaine Berry. 

Connie was preceded in death by her mother Hattie Pearl Gray, her Father Henry Gray Sr., one brother Henry Gray Jr., her grandmother Zelma Snow, Papa Charles, Grandfather Mr. J.C. and several other relatives. 

Family and friends are invited to visit in the funeral home on Monday, March 12, 2012 from 10am – 11am. Homegoing services will begin at 11am with Rev. Dr. Hosea Mitchell officiating. Cemetery services will be private.
